My First 5K
Let us take you from walking to running in our 10 week training program, culminating in a 5K run on Aug 23rd!
The walk/jog training begins June 18th with workouts scheduled Wednesdays at 6 pm and Sundays at 8 am. The cost is $89 and includes a $20 Athletic Feat gift card, T-shirt, and individualized training at each session.

How to eat like a runner!

Something simple, refreshing and nutritious after your run in this hot weather... There's more than one way to eat your oatmeal. When you don't feel like sitting down to a bowl of hot cereal (like after a tough summer run), try adding rolled oats to a smoothie instead. They provide a carb kick and hearty texture that will fill you up. Blend in blueberries for a dose of powerful antioxidants that help neutralize free radicals caused by exercise. Of couse you can also blend in your favorite fruit and berries.
Total Time: 5 min
Combine the milk, blueberries, yogurt, oats, and flaxseed in a blender. Blend until smooth
- 1 cup fat-free milk
- 1/2 cup unsweetened frozen blueberries
- 1/2 cup fat-free plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
Nutrition: (per serving)
306 calories, 42 g carbs, 6 g fiber, 24 g protein, 5 g total fat, 0.5 g saturated fat, 149 mg sodium
